welcome. i am so glad you're here.
Hi, I am Bec Flynn, and I provide counselling sessions for adult individuals from a counselling studio surrounded by acreage 15 mins from Tamworth. I hold a Masters of Counselling with Distinction & Level 2 registered with the Australian Counselling Association.
I am likely to best fit someone who:
-
Are looking for short- to medium-term structured therapy
-
Have some goals they’d like to work towards in therapy. Goals can change, but just gives a starting pointing to work from.
-
Want to do the deeper internal work on themself. (Unfortunately, therapy is not a quick fix rather a journey where the more you put in into, the more you get out).
-
Like an insight-driven and collaborative therapy approach, which means I work to:
-
Understand the why behind thoughts, emotions, and behaviours
-
Explore the deeper patterns, beliefs, and experiences that shape responses
-
Recognise recurring cycles or triggers in relationships, emotions, and actions
-
Connect past experiences to present behaviour to make sense of patterns
-
Please note: I do not currently offer therapy to children under 18 years of age, couples, or families. My work is not suitable for individuals requiring complex or crisis support.

style of therapy
My approach to counselling is warm, non judgmental, and you can expect it to also be challenging. For longer term change and benefit, I work with clients to identify the root of the issues they are facing to focus on healing at the cause as opposed to just the symptoms of an issue. I help to identify patterns of behaviour and emotion that the client may not be fully aware of to illuminate the key areas for growth at a pace which we will jointly discuss and agree upon. Counselling is also very much about letting you safely experienced the parts of yourself that were never allowed to be expressed or acknowledged.
It’s also important to acknowledge that trauma exploration or deep emotional work is not always the right approach if you’re not yet feeling grounded or don’t have stable supports and coping mechanisms in place. In those situations, our the focus will be on building emotional safety, strengthening resources, and supporting stability before moving into deeper material.
